The program aims to help students cultivate a solid knowledge of theories about Japanese language and literature and good language competence that enable them to become leading innovative Japanese professionals who can understand the fundamental nature and characteristics of Japanese language, thought and culture, their evolution and patterns, the emergence and development of Japanese literature and its features, and Japanese translation theory and its application.
